Title: Human
Artist: The Killers
Discovered: On my MP4 player's FM tuner walking to the bus stop.
This song has a 80s-dance-nintendo feel to it, but at the same time is pretty. It makes me want to dance in tube socks.
Lyrics:
I did my best to notice when the call came down the line
up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind
Sometimes I get nervous when I see an open door
Close your eyes
Clear your heart
Cut the cord
Are we human or are we dancer
my sign is vital, my hands are cold
and I'm on my knees looking for the answer
Are we human or are we dancer?
Paid my respects to grace and virtue
Sent my condolences to good
Gave my regards to soul and romance
They always did the best they could
and so long to devotion
you taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye
Wish me well
You've gotta let me go
Are we human or are we dancer?
my sign is vital, my hands are cold
and im on my knees looking for the answer
are we human or are we dancer?
Will your system be alright
when you dream of home tonight?
There is no message we're receiving
let me know, is your heart still beating?
Are we human or are we dancer?
My sign is vitalmy hands are cold
and I'm on my knees looking for the answer
You've gotta let me know
Are we human or are we dancer?
My sign is vital, my hands are cold
and I'm on my knees looking for the answer
Are we human or are we dancer?
Are we human or are we dancer?
Are we human or are we dancer?
As for the meaning of the song...I have no idea.
There has been much dispute over whether Brandon Flowers sings "...dancer?" or "...denser?" If you ask me, I would say denser doesn't make any sense. But dancer makes a hell of a lot less. Tell me what you think.

girl if it isn't denser than the guy has to be a little off his rocker and you know i like guys who are off their rocker:D if it is denser than he's a little egotistical as if there were anything denser than human beings. perfect example a songwriter using the adjective dancer as if it were a noun.
Rose Dawson--I'm confused by that comment. Dancer is a noun... being used as an adjective.
Denser makes sense, in a way. You're right about the egotistical part, but a lot of people also use the word "dense" negatively. If something is dense, it sinks. So, are we human (can we float through life) or are we denser (will we sink)? Dancer makes no sense to me, but who the heck knows. Everything I've read says he's saying dancer.
Maybe I should go to the concert at EMU in January and ask.
maybe it is dancer. and i get confused on the whole parts of speech thing I did a reverse:)your going to the concert i like totally love the killers they're awesome
Both ways make sense, but I like the way Nelly puts it...kinda poetic.
