So, a while ago, like on May 6th, I went to the AP tour at the Crofoot Ballroom. It was amazing. Honestly, it was an awesome and disturbing experience.
First of all, all of the people were good, the music was all good. It was The Summer Set, The Cab, Every Avenue, Hey Monday, and Nevershoutnever. I went with my two aunts who are both in their twenties, and my best friend Alexis. Max was also there, but not with us. In fact, the only time I saw him was when I was passing him through the crowd...the kid's crazy, he was crowd surfing. :)
Anyhoo, Alexis and I started out back of the main floor. By Hey Monday we were in the middle of a huge mosh pit. No joke. I must have contracted 10 STDs that night because we were so squished into people. Other than the diseases, it was SWEET. We got so close to the stage, and I saw Chris Drew so closely. I almost cried. Really, I almost did.
Meanwhile (and I didn't know this until after the concert) my two aunts were chillin', drinkin', watchin' the Red Wings, buyin' David Strauchman a PBR. If you're not aware of who that is, it's freakin' the lead singin'...er, singer, of freakin' Every Avenue. MY GOD, MAN. Why wasn't I there? WHY. Anyway, being from Michigan, Every Avenue wanted to come back and do a smaller concert in July, which good buddy David invited the aunts to. They bought like 6 thirteen-dollar tickets or something crazy like that. I cannot wait.
Max met the drummer of All Time Low in the upper level of the Crofoot.
You wanna know who I met? I met an unidentified kid's shoe in the side of my head.
I hate crowd surfing -.- ...not really, I just didn't enjoy the 3rd degree concussion hemorrhage in my ear afterward.
Other than that fun stuff, the event was sponsored in part by Wonka. There's nothing better than walking out of an awesome concert with a whole bra full of Kazoozles. Yeahhhhh buddy :D
